Computer Science: book and practice notes
Separate English and Urdu source books are used. Urdu questions and explanations are written in Urdu, with original Python syntax and technical names retained where necessary. No Chemistry source is used for Computer Science.
Source identification
- English: “10th Computer Science New Book.pdf”, 127 PDF pages, eight units. The supplied file begins with Unit 1 and has no front cover or imprint, so its exact edition cannot be verified. Its subject tile is clearly labelled as a PunjabTest practice tile, not an original book cover.
- Urdu: “Computer 10th Urdu Medium New Book.pdf”, 151 PDF pages, eight units. The imprint states first edition, February 2026 printing, revised Pakistan National Curriculum 2023. Its original front cover is used.
Exercise coverage
All 75 English and 74 Urdu exercise MCQ items are retained with their original four options and source references. Unit 4 repeats the range() concept in items 1 and 9 and append() in items 3 and 8. Each pair is stored as alternative exercise versions of one question, never as two questions in a single test. The distinct exercise counts are therefore 73 English and 72 Urdu. Each unit's bank contains 54 MCQs including exercise concepts, rather than 54 extra questions.
Clarifications
- The UEFI/GPT exercise is scoped to the textbook's configuration; GPT is not asserted as a universal requirement for every possible UEFI USB setup.
- The broad data-source question is narrowed to collecting student survey responses, since both YouTube and a survey form can be sources of data in general.
- The pre-storage preparation question is scoped to the lesson's cleaning and validation step; encryption can separately be a sensible security measure.
- The age-output exercise ignores outer whitespace. The nested-loop counting code is displayed with valid Python indentation, with print after the loops.
- Some printed Python examples contain inconsistent output or malformed syntax. Practice code uses verified Python behaviour; the list example that appends a name does not magically sort the list.
- Legal examples are textbook learning material, not advice about current law. Mention of a Data Protection Bill is not presented as proof that it is enacted. Company registration examples are not universal requirements for every business.
- Sales and profit are different. The ROI exercise defines the term; practice does not calculate profit-based ROI from sales revenue alone.
Annual-style paper
The 50-mark, 105-minute structure comes from the Urdu textbook's guidance and bilingual model paper, PDF pages 147–151: 10 MCQ marks in 15 minutes and 40 subjective marks in 90 minutes. Three short-answer groups each offer six questions; answer any four at two marks each (24 marks). Three long questions are offered; answer any two at eight marks each (16 marks). At least three units must be selected.
For a full-book paper, MCQ distribution is one each from units 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 and two each from units 2 and 7. Short-answer distribution is (1,2,3), (2,4) and (2,2,2) across the book's three groups. Long questions draw from units 1, 4 and 6 or 8. Selected-unit practice adapts distribution to the selected units while preserving sections, marks and choices. Subjective prompts are original book-based practice, with no automated subjective grading. The current official board pattern was not independently verified, so the label remains board-style practice.
Random tests preserve the existing Class 10 sizes: one unit 10 questions, multiple units 15, whole book 25. The bank size is separate from the test size. A pool shortage is shown rather than filled with repeated questions. Results and result printing retain the original test's shuffled option order.
