Good manners are what make a Muslim beautiful to others. This chapter covers the four manners a Class 3 student meets every day: speaking the truth, bearing differences with patience, showing kindness in small acts, and keeping clean while respecting parents, teachers and elders.
A Muslim always speaks the truth, even when it is hard. Truth builds trust: teachers, parents and friends believe a truthful child. Lying breaks trust and leads to more lies. The Prophet ﷺ never lied, even as a child.
Truth is brave because it costs something. A child who admits a mistake when he could hide it has done something hard — and that hardness is exactly why teachers, parents and friends learn to trust him completely.
Tolerance means being patient with people who are different from us, and not fighting over small things. We respect elders, listen to others, and forgive mistakes. Islam teaches us to live in peace with neighbours of all backgrounds.
✏️ Example: ✏️ Example / مثال: Two children fight over a ball. A tolerant child suggests: 'Let us play together and take turns.' The game becomes fun for both — tolerance wins.
Tolerance is not agreeing with everyone; it is staying kind when you disagree. Two children who want the same ball, neighbours from different families, classmates with different habits — peace in all these places begins with patience.
Kindness is smiling, sharing, helping the weak and speaking gently. Even a smile is charity (Sadaqah). Help your mother at home, help a friend who fell, and feed a hungry animal. Small kindnesses make a big difference.
Kindness costs nothing and buys everything. A smile takes a second, sharing a toy takes a moment, helping a fallen friend takes a minute — yet each one is written as charity, and each one makes the day better for two people at once.
Keep your body, clothes, classroom and street clean. Respect parents, teachers and elders: greet them with Salam, listen quietly, and obey them in good things. Respect for others is respect for yourself.
Cleanliness and respect go together like two sides of one coin. A clean body, clean clothes and a clean classroom show care for yourself, while Salam, quiet listening and obedience in good things show care for others.
