A Hamd is a poem praising Allah. It reminds us that Allah created the sun, moon, earth and us, and gives us everything we need. We thank Allah for His countless blessings.
Read the Hamd slowly, line by line, and after each line ask yourself: which blessing is this line about? When you can name the blessing, you have understood the poem, not just memorised it.
Three steps:
سیکھیں: 'نعمت' کا مطلب ہے اللہ کی دی ہوئی چیز، 'شکر' کا مطلب ہے احسان ماننا، 'خالق' کا مطلب ہے پیدا کرنے والا۔ جملے بنائیں: 'اللہ ہمارا خالق ہے۔'
مثال: حمد کو احساس کے ساتھ بلند آواز سے پڑھیں، پھر اس میں ذکر کی گئی اللہ کی دو نعمتوں کے نام بتائیں۔
Learn: 'nemat' means blessing, 'shukr' means thanks, 'khaliq' means Creator. Use them in sentences: 'Allah is our Khaliq.'
Example: Read the Hamd aloud with feeling, then name two blessings of Allah mentioned in it.
The lesson: thank Allah every day for food, health, family and nature, and use His blessings well.
Thanks is not only a word. Say Alhamdulillah at meals, look after your health, be kind to your family, and enjoy nature without spoiling it. That is how a child lives the Hamd every day.
Grammar: a Hamd is a poem (nazm). Poems have lines (misray) and rhyming words. Find rhyming words in the poem.
A nazm is built from misray. Read any two lines aloud and listen to their endings: if the endings sound alike, you have found a rhyming pair. Try it with the Hamd first, then with any poem in your book.
Remember: Remember: read the lesson, learn the words, understand the moral, and practice the grammar point.
