This story is a riddle: someone helps everyone quietly — sweeping the street before dawn, leaving water for birds, fixing a broken bench — but no one sees him. At the end we learn: it was a kind neighbour boy. Good deeds do not need applause.
Read this story as a riddle and do not peek at the ending. After each quiet deed, guess: who could it be? Guessing along the way is what makes a riddle story fun.
Three steps:
سیکھیں: 'پہیلی' کا مطلب ہے راز والی بات، 'خاموشی' کا مطلب ہے چپ چاپ، 'پڑوسی' کا مطلب ہے ہمسایہ۔ جملہ: 'وہ کون تھا؟ ایک مہربان لڑکا!'
مثال: آج ایک خاموش اچھا کام کریں اور کل کلاس کو بتائیں — بغیر فخر کے اپنا نام لیے۔
Learn: 'paheli' means riddle, 'khamoshi' means quietly, 'padosi' means neighbour. Sentence: 'Woh kaun tha? Ek meherban larka!'
Example: Do one quiet good deed today and tell the class tomorrow — without naming yourself proudly.
The lesson: do good quietly, without showing off. Allah sees every good deed, even if people do not.
Quiet goodness needs no audience. Sweep your street corner, fill a bowl for birds, or tidy the classroom without telling anyone. Allah sees it, and that is enough.
Grammar: question word 'کون' (who). Make questions: 'وہ کون تھا?' 'یہ کون ہے?' Practice asking and answering.
'Kaun' asks 'who'. Practise the story's own question — 'Woh kaun tha?' — and answer it three ways: with a name, with a quality, and with a deed. Question and answer, back and forth.
Remember: Remember: read the lesson, learn the words, understand the moral, and practice the grammar point.
