مشق SLO-based practice ہے, official exercise نہیں.
Akhlaq means character and Aadab means manners. Islam teaches the best manners: truth, kindness to parents, respect for elders, love for the young, and politeness to all.
Akhlaq means character, Aadab means manners — and the two are really one thing: what you believe shows in how you behave at home, at school, at the table and with guests. Islam does not separate worship from manners; kindness to parents, truth in speech and politeness to everyone are themselves worship.
The Quran orders us to be kind to parents and never say 'uff' to them.
Serving parents, obeying them in good things, and praying for them is a great worship.
The Quran orders kindness to parents, and even forbids saying 'uff' to them — the smallest word of impatience. Why so strict? Because parents work day and night for their children, and respect is shown first in small words, then in big deeds: obeying them in good things, helping at home without being asked, speaking softly, and praying for them, as the Quran teaches: 'My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when small.'
Always speak the truth, even when it is hard. Keep promises and return trusts.
Lying breaks trust and brings shame; honesty brings honour in this world and the next.
Always speak the truth, even when it is hard — that is the test of honesty. A promise is a debt you owe in words: keep it, or say honestly that you cannot. Return every trust, whether it is a book, money or a secret told in confidence. Lying breaks trust in one moment, and trust takes a long time to rebuild; honesty brings honour in this world and the next.
Begin eating with Bismillah, eat with the right hand, and do not waste food.
Speak softly and politely, greet with Assalam-o-Alaikum, and listen before answering.
Good manners have a daily routine. Begin eating with Bismillah, eat with the right hand, eat from what is in front of you, and do not waste food. Speak softly and politely, greet with Assalam-o-Alaikum, and listen before answering — listening is itself a manner, because it tells the other person that their words matter.
Be kind to neighbours: share food, do not disturb them, and help in trouble.
Honour guests: welcome them warmly, offer food and comfort, as the Prophet (PBUH) taught.
Be kind to neighbours: share food, do not disturb them with noise, and help in trouble. Honour guests: welcome them warmly, offer food and comfort, as the Prophet (PBUH) taught. A guest who leaves happy remembers your home; a neighbour who feels safe beside you is the first sign of a peaceful street.
Use this list for quick revision: one rule per area — parents ('never uff'), truth (promises and trusts), eating (Bismillah, right hand, no waste), neighbours and guests (share, welcome). Four rules, and the whole Baab is in your pocket.

This Baab is about character and manners: what Akhlaq and Aadab mean (character and the ways of behaving — truth, kindness to parents, respect for elders, love for the young, politeness to all); kindness to parents, whom the Quran orders us never to answer with 'uff', serving them, obeying them in good things and praying for them; truth, honesty and promises, keeping promises and returning trusts, because lying breaks trust and honesty brings honour; manners of eating, speaking and meeting — Bismillah, the right hand, no waste, soft speech, Assalam-o-Alaikum, listening before answering; and good manners with neighbours and guests — sharing food, no disturbance, help in trouble, warm welcome and comfort, as the Prophet (PBUH) taught. The exercise (4 MCQs, 4 short, 2 long, 2 think-and-answer) is solved at the end.
Revision guidance: Revision: first the four areas — parents, truth, daily manners, neighbours and guests — then the fixed points: never 'uff', Bismillah and the right hand, no waste, trusts returned, guests welcomed.
