Iman means firm belief of the heart, confession by the tongue, and action by the limbs. A Muslim believes in Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and in destiny — good and bad — from Allah.
Iman grows with good deeds and obedience, and weakens with sins and neglect. That is why a Muslim keeps renewing his faith through prayer, remembrance and good actions.
Tauheed means believing that Allah alone is One, without any partner in His Being, attributes, lordship and worship. He alone creates, sustains and controls everything.
The opposite of Tauheed is Shirk — associating partners with Allah — which is the greatest sin and is never forgiven if a person dies without repenting from it.
Risalat means believing that Allah sent Messengers to guide mankind, and that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is the last of them. No prophet will come after him.
The chain of prophethood began with Hazrat Adam (AS) and ended with Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Believing in his finality is part of Iman.
The five pillars of Islam are: Kalima (declaration of faith), Salah (prayer five times a day), Saum (fasting in Ramadan), Zakat (charity on wealth), and Hajj (pilgrimage for those who can afford it).
Salah keeps a Muslim connected to Allah daily; Saum teaches patience and self-control; Zakat purifies wealth and helps the poor; Hajj unites Muslims from all over the world.
A Muslim believes in life after death: the Day of Judgement, when every deed will be weighed. Good deeds lead to Paradise and evil deeds to punishment.
This belief makes a person careful in daily life — honest in dealings, kind to others, and quick to repent — because he knows he will answer for his actions.

Believing Allah alone is One, without any partner in His Being, attributes, lordship and worship.
The belief that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is the last Prophet and no prophet will come after him.
Kalima, Salah, Saum, Zakat and Hajj.
Tauheed is belief in the Oneness of Allah in His Being, attributes, lordship and worship — He alone creates, sustains and deserves worship. Shirk means giving any of this to anyone else; it destroys the very purpose of faith, so Islam forbids it strictly and calls it the greatest sin.
Kalima fixes belief; Salah connects the Muslim to Allah five times a day; Saum builds patience and self-control; Zakat makes wealth a means of helping the poor; Hajj teaches equality and unity. Together they make faith a daily practice, not just a claim.
