SLO-based practice chapter: no clean official PCTB book PDF for Class 7 Computer Science was available at build time, so this chapter is built from the PCTB/SNC Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for Class 7 Computer Science. It is practice material for the curriculum topics — NOT the official book exercise. When the official book is obtained, its exercise will replace this practice set. Nothing here is presented as a book page or an official question.
Chapter titles follow the PCTB/SNC curriculum progression for this class. All questions and answers below are original practice material written for this guide.
An entrepreneur is a person who starts a business: they notice a problem or need, think of a product or service that solves it, and take the risk of building it. Entrepreneurship is that whole process — from idea to a working business.
Entrepreneurs are not only shop owners: a student who sells handmade cards online, a programmer who builds an app, and a farmer who starts a delivery service are all entrepreneurs.
Digital tools let a young entrepreneur start with almost no money: a mobile app or social media page is the shop, a phone camera takes product photos, and messages take orders. Mobile apps and social media reach customers far beyond one's street or town.
Examples: selling homemade food through a WhatsApp group, offering tutoring over video call, or selling drawings through an online page. The tools are free or cheap; the work is making something people truly want.
A good business idea answers three questions: who is the customer, what problem does it solve for them, and why would they pay for it? An idea nobody will pay for is a hobby, not a business — and hobbies are fine, but they are not businesses.
Honest selling matters most at the start: true photos, true descriptions, fair prices, and keeping promises about delivery. One happy customer tells friends; one cheated customer warns everyone.
A tiny business plan fits on one page: what you sell, who buys it, what it costs you to make, what price you charge, and what profit is left (price minus cost). If profit is negative, the price or the cost must change — a business that always loses money cannot continue.
Start small: sell to ten people before dreaming of a thousand, save part of every profit, and write down every sale and cost in a notebook or sheet. Records turn guessing into knowing.
اس chapter کی exercise SLO-based practice ہے — MCQs, short اور long سوال اس guide کے لیے لکھے گئے ہیں, کتاب کی official exercise نہیں.
1. An entrepreneur is a person who:
Answer: (b) — Entrepreneurs spot needs, create solutions and take risks.
2. A digital tool that can be a young entrepreneur's shop is:
Answer: (a) — A mobile app or social media page can serve as the shop itself.
3. A good business idea must answer:
Answer: (b) — Customer, problem and willingness to pay define a real business idea.
4. Profit equals:
Answer: (b) — Profit is price minus cost.
5. Honest selling is important because:
Answer: (b) — Trust from honest selling brings repeat customers and recommendations.
6. A tiny business plan should start:
Answer: (b) — Start small, prove the idea with ten customers, and keep records.
Answer: Entrepreneurship is the process of starting a business: noticing a need, creating a product or service that meets it, and taking the risk of building it into a working business.
Answer: A phone can be the shop (social media page or app), the camera for product photos, and the channel for taking orders by message — reaching customers far beyond one's own street.
Answer: A hobby is done for enjoyment without needing payment; a business must solve a problem people will pay for, cover its costs, and make a profit.
Answer: Records turn guessing into knowing: they show whether the business makes a profit, what sells best, and what to change.
Answer: Selling handmade cards through a social media page: photos taken on a phone, orders by message, delivery to school or neighbourhood, with costs and prices written down.
Answer: Step 1: Choose something you can make well, for example handmade bookmarks. Step 2: Check the idea: who buys, what problem does it solve, what price will they pay? Step 3: Work out cost per item and set a price above it, so profit = price − cost is positive. Step 4: Open a social media page, post true photos and prices. Step 5: Take orders by message, deliver as promised, and write down every sale and cost. Step 6: Save part of every profit and use feedback to improve. Start with ten customers before dreaming of a thousand.
Answer: A new business has no reputation; its first customers are its advertising. True photos, true descriptions, fair prices and kept delivery promises make those customers return and recommend the business. One cheated customer, by contrast, warns friends and posts publicly, and a small business cannot afford to buy back lost trust. Clever advertising can win a first sale; only honesty wins the second.
Answer: Profit = price − cost: what remains after making and delivering a product. A plan must check it because a business that always loses money cannot continue, however popular it is: costs (materials, transport, time) must be covered and something must remain for growth and savings. If profit is negative, the plan must change the price, lower the cost, or find a different product — before money is spent, not after.
Entrepreneurship in the digital age starts small and honest: spot a real need, use a phone as your shop, sell something people will pay for, price above cost so profit remains, keep records, and let happy customers bring the next ones.
