Huqooq-ul-Ibad (Rights of People)حقوق العباد
🏷 Tags: Rights of people, Parents, Neighbours, Workers
ENGLISH

Huqooq-ul-Ibad are the rights of people: parents, relatives, neighbours, guests, workers, the poor and even animals. Islam teaches that duties to people stand beside duties to Allah — a person who prays but harms neighbours has failed half the lesson.

Rights are not only big things. A kind word to a worker, patience with an old relative, and not blocking a neighbour's way are also rights fulfilled. A person who performs worship but is rude to people has understood only half the lesson, because duties to Allah and duties to people stand side by side.

Rights of Neighbours
🏷 Tags: Neighbours, Share food, Visit sick, No harm
ENGLISH

Neighbours have special rights: share food, visit the sick, help in hardship, and never harm them by noise, waste or words. The Rasoolullah (ﷺ) stressed neighbour rights so strongly that companions thought neighbours might become heirs.

Neighbours are the people nearest in need. When food is extra, the neighbour's house is the first place it should reach; when someone falls ill, the neighbour is the first visitor. Harm, too, starts near: loud noise at night or waste thrown over the wall hurts the neighbour first. Good neighbourliness is daily Islam in practice.

Rules of Buying and Selling
🏷 Tags: Honest trade, Truthful, Fair weight, Keep promises
ENGLISH

Islamic trade rules: be truthful about goods, do not hide defects, weigh fairly, do not overcharge in need, and keep promises. Cheating in measure, false oaths and hoarding to raise prices are forbidden — honest trade is blessed trade.

A shopkeeper who hides a defect may earn once, but he loses trust, and trust is the real capital of trade. Fair weight, truthful speech and kept promises bring customers back again and again. That is why honest trade is called blessed trade: the blessing is not only in the money, but in the trust that keeps growing.

Etiquette of Dealings
🏷 Tags: Dealings manners, Polite speech, Repay on time, Talk first
ENGLISH

Good dealings also mean manners: speak politely, return loans on time, write down debts, forgive a debtor in hardship, and settle disputes by talk before courts. Manners turn trade from a fight over money into trust between people.

Writing a debt down is not distrust; it protects friendship. Memory fades and amounts are forgotten, and then a small loan becomes a big quarrel. A written note, a fixed time for repayment, and patience with a debtor in hardship keep money matters clean and relations intact. Talk first, courts last.
