The exercise questions are the master's SLO-based practice questions, not the official textbook exercise.

ENGLISH

This lesson discusses how national unity strengthens Pakistan: despite differences in language, ethnicity and region, all Pakistanis share a common faith and national identity.

For the student: How to read it: read the lesson once from start to end without stopping, then read it again slowly. The second reading is where the lesson really sits in your mind.

ENGLISH

Central idea: unity is strength — divided, a nation is weak; united, it faces floods, enemies and poverty together. Differences are a richness, not a reason for quarrel, when one flag and one identity bind all.

For the student: Say it in your own words: after reading, close the book and tell the central idea in two or three sentences of your own. If you can say it simply, you have understood it.

ENGLISH

Key points: sources of diversity (language, province, custom), shared bonds (faith, flag, constitution, history), and threats to unity (prejudice, provincialism, rumour). Exam focus: definition, bonds, and threats.

For the student: Words first: write the difficult words in your notebook with their meanings, and use each one in a sentence of your own. Words you use yourself are words you remember.
