Shukr-e-Naimat means thanking Allah for His blessings — by heart, by tongue and by using the blessing in the right way. The Hadith teaches that the one who eats and is grateful gets the reward of the one who fasts and is patient. Gratitude increases blessings; ingratitude takes them away.
Amanat wa Diyanat means being trustworthy and honest: returning what is entrusted to you, keeping promises, and being truthful in dealings. The Prophet ﷺ was Al-Ameen; at the Hijrah he left Hazrat Ali to return the trusts of the Quraish. A dishonest person loses people's trust and Allah's pleasure.
Takabbur (pride) means considering oneself greater than others and looking down on them. It was the sin of Iblees, who refused to bow to Adam. The Prophet ﷺ said that no one with even a mustard-seed of pride in his heart will enter Paradise. Humility is its cure.
Hasad (jealousy) means wishing that another person's blessing be taken away. It eats up good deeds like fire eats wood, and it makes a person restless and ungrateful. Its cure is to be happy for others, to pray for them, and to remember that Allah distributes blessings with wisdom.
