Ikhlas wa Taqwa
🏷 Tags: Ikhlas, Niyyat, Taqwa, Result
ENGLISH

Ikhlas means purity — making an action purely for Allah's pleasure, with no show (riya). The Quran says: “They were commanded only to worship Allah with sincere devotion” (Surah Al-Bayyinah: 5). And: “Actions are judged by intentions” (Bukhari: 1). Taqwa means fear of Allah that guards the heart: a state of the heart which, out of Allah's fear, drives a person to good and stops him from evil. Ikhlas makes worship accepted; Taqwa makes character strong — together they make a Muslim's private and public life one and the same.

Parda Poshi (Concealing Faults)
🏷 Tags: Cover, Reward, Not, Advise
ENGLISH

Parda Poshi means covering the faults of others instead of spreading them. Islam teaches: whoever covers a Muslim's fault, Allah will cover his faults in this world and the Hereafter. Spreading faults destroys trust, breaks families and turns small mistakes into public shame. Parda Poshi does not mean hiding crime or injustice — it means not publicising personal faults, advising privately, and giving people a chance to reform. It is a mark of a merciful heart and a healthy society.

Jhoot (Lying)
🏷 Tags: Truth, Lie, Trade, Cure
ENGLISH

Jhoot (lying) is a major sin and the root of many evils: it destroys trust, and one lie forces many more lies. The Prophet ﷺ said truthfulness leads to righteousness and Paradise, while lying leads to sin and Hell. A liar is not trusted by people, and his testimony is rejected. Even joking lies are forbidden, and the book warns that lying in trade, promises and testimony is especially harmful. The cure: speak truth even when it is hard, and think before speaking — silence is better than a lie.

Gheebat aur Buhtan
🏷 Tags: Gheebat, Buhtan, Quran, Cure
ENGLISH

Gheebat is mentioning a person behind his back in a way he would dislike — even if it is true. The Quran compares it to eating the flesh of one's dead brother (Surah Al-Hujurat: 12) — a shocking image to show its ugliness. Buhtan is worse: accusing someone of a fault he does not have at all — a false charge. Both destroy brotherhood, spread hatred and earn severe punishment. The cure: if you hear Gheebat, stop it or leave; if you did it, seek forgiveness from the person and from Allah, and speak good of people instead.

Jadoo, Faal aur Tauham Parasti
🏷 Tags: Jadoo, Faal, Safar, Protection
ENGLISH

Jadoo (magic) is forbidden and a great sin; seeking its help or practicing it harms faith, wealth and health. Faal means taking a thing, day or month as unlucky — e.g. the Arabs of Jahiliyyah considered the month of Safar unlucky, which Islam rejected. Tauham Parasti (superstition) is believing that stars, omens or fortune-tellers control our fate. The book teaches: no hardship comes because of magic, omens or the stars — everything is by Allah's will and one's own deeds. For protection and needs, turn to Allah: Istighfar, Sadaqah, Namaz-e-Hajat and Duas. The famous protection: eating Ajwa dates is mentioned as a remedy against magic (as in the Mashq).

Section 3: Long Questions

Long 1. Throw light on Islamic teachings about Jadoo, Faal and Tauham Parasti.

Answer / جواب

Answer: All three are forbidden: magic harms faith and life; faal (bad omens, e.g. Safar) is rejected; superstition transfers trust from Allah to creatures. Islam teaches that benefit and harm are by Allah's will; protection lies in Quran, Duas, Sadaqah and lawful means — and society suffers when people chase fortune-tellers instead of effort and trust.

ENGLISH

This chapter is Akhlaq wa Adab in five topics. Ikhlas wa Taqwa: pure intention for Allah alone, no riya (Surah Al-Bayyinah: 5; actions judged by intentions, Bukhari: 1), and a heart guarded by Allah's fear. Parda Poshi: covering others' faults, advising privately — not hiding crime. Jhoot: a major sin and root of many evils; truth leads to Paradise, lying to Hell; even joking lies are forbidden. Gheebat aur Buhtan: backbiting even if true (compared to eating a dead brother's flesh, Surah Al-Hujurat: 12) and Buhtan, the worse false charge. Jadoo, Faal aur Tauham Parasti: magic forbidden, no day or month (like Safar) unlucky in itself, no star or omen controls fate — protection is Istighfar, Sadaqah, Namaz-e-Hajat and Duas. Exercise: 4 MCQs, 5 short, 1 long, solved.

Revision guidance: Revision: define each term in one line (Ikhlas, Taqwa, Parda Poshi, Jhoot, Gheebat, Buhtan, Jadoo, Faal, Tauham); learn the two Quranic references (Bayyinah: 5, Hujurat: 12) and the Hadith on intentions; and note the difference that matters most in exams — Gheebat (true but disliked) versus Buhtan (wholly false).
