Family words are easiest to learn as a little tree: at the top, grandfather and grandmother; below them, father and mother; beside you, brother and sister. Draw your own tree with real names, and the English words will attach to faces you love.
Two tiny words do a lot of work here: 'he' for boys and men, 'she' for girls and women. 'This is my father. He is a teacher.' — he points back to father without repeating his name. Try it: say a family sentence, then say it again with he or she.
He is a teacher.' — he نام دہرائے بغیر father کی طرف اشارہ کرتا ہے۔ آزمائیں: ایک خاندانی جملہ بولیں، پھر he یا she کے ساتھ دوبارہ بولیں۔
Introducing yourself is just four short answers in a row: your name, your age, your class, and one thing you like. Practise them until they come out without thinking, because this is the first English you will use with any new person you meet.
Say it to a mirror first, then to a friend: 'Hello! My name is…' and smile at the end. A friendly face matters as much as correct words — people remember how you said it, not only what you said.
Picture note — Example: My name is Sara. • I am eight years old. • I am in Class 3. • I like badminton.
اپنا تعارف صرف چار مختصر جوابوں کی قطار ہے: آپ کا نام، عمر، جماعت، اور ایک پسندیدہ چیز۔ انہیں اتنی مشق کریں کہ سوچے بغیر نکل آئیں، کیونکہ یہ پہلی انگریزی ہے جو آپ کسی بھی نئے شخص سے ملتے وقت استعمال کریں گے۔
پہلے آئینے سے بولیں، پھر دوست سے: 'Hello! My name is…' اور آخر میں مسکرائیں۔ دوستانہ چہرہ درست الفاظ جتنا ہی اہم ہے — لوگ صرف یہ نہیں یاد رکھتے کہ آپ نے کیا کہا، بلکہ یہ بھی کہ کیسے کہا۔
تصویر نوٹ — مثال: My name is Sara. • I am eight years old. • I am in Class 3. • I like badminton.
A day told in order is easy to remember: morning first, then school, then home, then night. Say your day like a little story — get up, brush teeth, breakfast, school, homework, play, help at home, story, sleep — and you have practised ten useful verbs without opening a grammar book.
Now change one thing and tell the day again: what if you played before homework, or helped your father instead of your mother? Changing the story keeps it yours, and your own story is the one you will remember.
Describing words colour a person the way colours colour a drawing. 'My mother is kind' tells us much more than 'my mother' alone — one word, kind, paints her character. Collect five such words — tall, short, kind, happy, strong — and try each one on a different person you know.
Mind the order: the describing word walks in front of the noun, never behind it. We say 'a kind mother' and 'a tall boy', not 'a mother kind'. Say both versions out loud and your ear will tell you which one sounds like real English.
Revise by introducing yourself to an imaginary new friend in four sentences, then describing two family members with one describing word each. If you can do that without stopping, you can already talk about yourself in English — and that is the point of the whole chapter.
Keep the family tree you drew and add one new word to it every week — uncle, aunt, cousin — so your English family keeps growing with your real one.
