Seerat is the life story of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and it is the best example a Muslim child can follow. From his birth in Makkah in 570 CE, through the trust people placed in him as Al-Amin, the first revelation in the Cave of Hira and the Hijrah to Madinah, to his mercy to all worlds — every part teaches a habit worth copying.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born in Makkah in the Year of the Elephant (570 CE). His father had passed away before his birth, and his mother Amina cared for him. He was nursed by Halima in the desert, where he grew strong and healthy.
The Year of the Elephant is a date with a story behind it. In that year Makkah was saved from an army with elephants, and in that same year a child was born who would change the world — Muhammad ﷺ, nursed by Halima in the clean desert air.
Even before Prophethood, people called him Al-Amin (the Trustworthy) and As-Sadiq (the Truthful). People kept their valuables with him because he never broke a trust and never lied. He was kind to the poor, orphans and neighbours.
✏️ Example: ✏️ Example / مثال: A famous example: when Makkah was won, the Prophet ﷺ forgave the very people who had hurt him, saying: 'Go, you are free.' That is true strength.
Trust is earned slowly and lost quickly, yet people trusted him with their valuables before he was a Prophet. Al-Amin and As-Sadiq were not titles he claimed; they were names his own neighbours gave him, because he never lied and never broke a trust.
At age 40, in the Cave of Hira, the first revelation came: 'Iqra' (Read!). He taught Tawheed and good manners for 13 years in Makkah, facing hardship with patience. Then he migrated to Madinah (Hijrah), where Muslims built a strong community.
Thirteen years of patience is a long time for a child to imagine — longer than a Class 3 student has been alive. Yet the Prophet ﷺ kept teaching Tawheed and good manners through hardship, and then the Hijrah to Madinah opened a new chapter for the whole community.
The Quran calls him 'a mercy to all worlds'. He forgave his enemies, helped the weak, loved children, and treated animals kindly. He passed away in Madinah at age 63, leaving the Quran and his Sunnah (example) for us.
Mercy to all worlds means mercy without borders. Enemies forgiven, children loved, the weak helped, animals treated kindly — and after his passing at 63 in Madinah, the Quran and his Sunnah stayed behind as a guide for everyone who follows.
The Prophet ﷺ is our perfect example: truthful, trustworthy, patient and merciful.
The Prophet ﷺ in four words: truthful, trustworthy, patient and merciful — a perfect example for every child to copy, one habit at a time.
