1. Reading: Harmony in Societyمطالعہ: معاشرے میں ہم آہنگی
🏷 Tags: harmony, tolerance, respect, peace, society
ENGLISH

Harmony means living together peacefully, even when people are different. In a society, people have different religions, languages, colours and habits — but they can still live like a family if they respect each other. Tolerance means accepting others' views without anger; respect means treating every person with dignity.

When people live in harmony, there is no fighting, no hatred and no fear. Schools, markets and streets become safe and happy places. Harmony is the foundation of a peaceful country.

HarmonyRespect
Harmony se samjho: Different log, aik family — respect aur tolerance se harmony samjho.
2. Vocabulary: Literal and Non-literal Meanings, Similesالفاظ: حقیقی و مجازی معنی، تشبیہات
🏷 Tags: vocabulary, similes, literal, non-literal
ENGLISH

Literal meaning is the real, direct meaning of a word: 'The room is cold' means the temperature is low. Non-literal meaning is a hidden or figurative meaning: 'He has a cold heart' means he is unkind — not that his heart is cold in temperature.

Similes compare two things using 'like' or 'as': 'as brave as a lion', 'as busy as a bee', 'like a fish out of water', 'as white as snow'. Similes make writing beautiful and clear.

اردو

حقیقی معنی لفظ کا اصل، سیدھا معنی ہوتا ہے: 'The room is cold' کا مطلب ہے کمرے کا درجہ حرارت کم ہے۔ مجازی معنی چھپا یا مجازی معنی ہوتا ہے: 'He has a cold heart' کا مطلب ہے وہ بے رحم ہے — نہ کہ اس کا دل واقعی ٹھنڈا ہے۔

تشبیہات دو چیزوں کا 'like' یا 'as' سے موازنہ کرتی ہیں: 'as brave as a lion'، 'as busy as a bee'، 'like a fish out of water'، 'as white as snow'۔ تشبیہات تحریر کو خوبصورت اور واضح بناتی ہیں۔

likeaslionbee
Similes se samjho: Like/as se tashbeeh — as brave as a lion, as busy as a bee samjho.
3. Grammar: Adjectives, Degrees, Transitional Devices, Clausesقواعد: صفات، درجات، ربط، جملے
🏷 Tags: grammar, adjectives, degrees, transitional devices, clauses
ENGLISH

Regular adjectives form degrees with -er/-est: tall, taller, tallest. Irregular adjectives change completely: good, better, best; bad, worse, worst; much, more, most. Degrees: positive (tall), comparative (taller), superlative (tallest).

Transitional devices connect ideas: first, then, however, therefore, moreover, finally. Relative pronouns (who, which, that) join clauses: 'The boy who is honest is my friend.' A clause has a subject and a verb; a phrase has no verb ('in the morning').

اردو

باقاعدہ صفات -er/-est سے درجات بناتی ہیں: tall, taller, tallest۔ بے قاعدہ صفات مکمل بدل جاتی ہیں: good, better, best؛ bad, worse, worst؛ much, more, most۔ درجات: مثبت (tall)، تقابلی (taller)، اعلیٰ (tallest)۔

ربط کے الفاظ خیالات کو جوڑتے ہیں: first, then, however, therefore, moreover, finally۔ متعلقہ ضمائر (who, which, that) جملوں کو جوڑتے ہیں: 'The boy who is honest is my friend.' جملہ میں فاعل اور فعل ہوتا ہے؛ عبادت میں فعل نہیں ہوتا ('in the morning')۔

Degrees se samjho: Positive, comparative, superlative — tall, taller, tallest samjho.
4. Writing and Punctuation: Commas, Dictionary Use, Analogiesتحریر اور رموز: سکتے، لغت، تشبیہی پیراگراف
🏷 Tags: writing, commas, dictionary, analogies
ENGLISH

Commas (,) separate items in a list ('Ali, Ahmed and Sara'), separate a long pause, and come after introductory words ('However, we agreed.'). Do not put a comma before 'and' in a simple two-item list.

Dictionary use: find a word's spelling, meaning, part of speech and pronunciation. Multi-syllable analogies: a paragraph using comparisons — for example, 'A school is like a garden: students are plants, teachers are gardeners, and knowledge is water.'

اردو

سکتہ (,) فہرست کی چیزوں کو الگ کرتا ہے ('Ali, Ahmed and Sara')، لمبے وقفے کے لیے آتا ہے، اور تعارفی الفاظ کے بعد آتا ہے ('However, we agreed.')۔ سادہ دو چیزوں کی فہرست میں 'and' سے پہلے سکتہ نہ لگائیں۔

لغت کا استعمال: لفظ کے ہجے، معنی، قسم اور تلفظ معلوم کریں۔ تشبیہی پیراگراف: موازنوں سے پیراگراف — مثلاً، 'A school is like a garden: students are plants, teachers are gardeners, and knowledge is water.'

Ali, Ahmed
Commas se samjho: List میں commas لگاؤ — علی, Ahmed and سارا سمجھو.
