ENGLISH

An Urdu teacher, on his way home, witnesses a street fight: a small dispute turns violent. Shaken, he decides his next class will be about tolerance (rawadari) — because the fight began not with weapons but with words and tempers.

The lesson opens with a question for students: how does a small quarrel become a big fight? The answer — pride, anger, and refusing to listen — is the lesson's starting point.

Small dispute→Pride and anger→Refusal to listen↓Violence
Mazhab aur Rawadari se samjho: How fights grow. لڑائیاں کیسے بڑھتی ہیں۔
2. Every Religion Teaches Peaceہر مذہب امن سکھاتا ہے
🏷 Tags: Religion Does Not Teach Enmity, مذہب نہیں سکھاتا آپس میں بیر رکھنا, Every Religion Teaches Peace, Class 7 Urdu, Chapter 8

ENGLISH

The teacher explains that every religion promotes peace and brotherhood. He quotes the Quranic verse 'La ikraha fid-deen' — 'There is no compulsion in religion' — everyone has the right to live by their own belief.

He also quotes a hadith on protecting the rights of non-Muslims living under Islamic rule: harming a protected neighbour is a grave wrong. Tolerance is not a modern invention; it is an old religious duty.

No compulsionProtect neighboursPeace in every faithBrotherhood
Mazhab aur Rawadari se samjho: Religion teaches peace. مذہب امن سکھاتا ہے۔
3. The United Nations and Tolerance Dayاقوام متحدہ اور رواداری کا دن
🏷 Tags: Religion Does Not Teach Enmity, مذہب نہیں سکھاتا آپس میں بیر رکھنا, The United Nations and Tolerance Day, Class 7 Urdu, Chapter 8

ENGLISH

The lesson connects the classroom to the world: the United Nations was founded in 1945, after the destruction of World War II, to maintain peace among nations. War had shown what happens when tolerance fails.

The International Day of Tolerance is observed on 16 November every year — a day to remember that living together needs daily practice, not only treaties.

World War II destruction→UN founded 1945→Peace among nations↓Tolerance Day 16 Nov
Mazhab aur Rawadari se samjho: Tolerance in the world. دنیا میں رواداری۔
4. Tolerance in Daily Lifeروزمرہ زندگی میں رواداری
🏷 Tags: Religion Does Not Teach Enmity, مذہب نہیں سکھاتا آپس میں بیر رکھنا, Tolerance in Daily Life, Class 7 Urdu, Chapter 8

ENGLISH

Tolerance in daily life means: listening before replying, disagreeing without insulting, sharing playgrounds and classrooms with children of other faiths and sects, and never mocking another's worship, food or dress.

It also means standing up politely when someone is mocked: silence in front of bullying is a kind of agreement. A tolerant student is not a silent student.

Listen firstDisagree politelyShare spacesStand up to mockery
Mazhab aur Rawadari se samjho: Daily tolerance. روزمرہ رواداری۔
5. The Lesson's Challengeسبق کا چیلنج
🏷 Tags: Religion Does Not Teach Enmity, مذہب نہیں سکھاتا آپس میں بیر رکھنا, The Lesson's Challenge, Class 7 Urdu, Chapter 8

ENGLISH

The teacher ends with a challenge: for one week, settle every disagreement with words, not raised voices; and befriend one classmate you have never spoken to — especially one from a different background.

The class discovers what the teacher discovered on the street: tolerance is not a chapter to pass, but a habit to practice.

Words, not voices→New friendship→One week↓A habit
Mazhab aur Rawadari se samjho: The challenge. چیلنج۔

QUESTIONS + ANSWERS
Long Q1: Explain why silence in front of bullying is 'a kind of agreement'.

Because the bully reads silence as approval and the victim reads it as abandonment; only a polite stand breaks both readings.
