Farm animals and wild animals live in two different worlds, and that is the easiest way to tell them apart. Farm animals — cow, goat, hen, sheep — live with humans and help us every day with milk, eggs and wool. Wild animals — lion, tiger, elephant, monkey — live in forests, and we admire them from a distance.
Ask one question about any animal: does it live with people and help them? If yes, it belongs on the farm list; if it lives free in the forest, it belongs on the wild list. Two lists, and every animal you meet will fit one of them.
Birds are built for the sky: feathers keep them warm and wings lift them up, so most birds can fly where animals must walk. A sparrow is small enough to sit on your finger, while an eagle is big and strong enough to hunt from high above — same family, very different sizes.
Birds build nests in trees and lay eggs there, which is why we never break a nest or tease a bird. A broken nest is a broken home, and a frightened bird may never come back to it.
Picture note — Example: A cow is a farm animal. • It gives us milk. • It eats grass.
A cow is a farm animal. • It gives us milk. • It eats grass.
A plant's life is a slow miracle you can watch: a seed sleeps in the soil, water and sunlight wake it, a small plant pushes up, and one day it stands as a tree. Take away any one need — sun, water or air — and the miracle stops, which is why gardeners give all three.
Pakistan's four seasons are like four different gardens: summer is hot, winter is cold, spring brings flowers, and autumn drops the leaves. Watch one tree through the year and you will see all four seasons doing their work on it.
Caring for nature is mostly about not doing three careless things: do not cut trees without need, do not waste water, and do not throw garbage in rivers. Each 'do not' protects something you yourself will need — shade, drinking water, clean rivers.
Then do the kind things: plant a tree, feed birds in winter, keep your street clean. Nature is described in this chapter as Allah's gift, and gifts are kept with care, not used carelessly.
Revise by sorting: write cow, lion, hen, tiger, goat, elephant in two columns — farm and wild — without looking, then name the four seasons and one thing each season brings. Add one care-for-nature action you did this week, and the chapter is alive, not just read.
Describe one animal the way the chapter describes a cow: what kind it is, what it gives or does, what it eats, how many legs it has. Four sentences, and you have practised describing, seasons and kindness all at once.

This chapter takes you outdoors: farm animals that live with us and help us, wild animals that live in forests, birds with feathers and wings that build nests in trees, plants that need sun, water and air through Pakistan's four seasons, and our duty to care for nature. The exercise is 5 multiple-choice, 4 short-answer, 2 long-answer and 1 think-and-answer SLO practice questions with the masters' answers.
Revision guidance: Sort six animals into farm and wild columns, name the four seasons with one thing each brings, and describe one animal in four sentences the way the chapter describes a cow.
