1. No Nation Rises Without Its Women

ENGLISH

The lesson's argument is simple: a nation is half women, so a nation that leaves its women uneducated and inactive uses only half its strength. No country has reached its full potential without educated, active women working alongside men.

Pakistan's own story proves it: women were part of the Pakistan Movement, voted, taught, nursed, and led — from the very beginning.

Half the nation→Educated women→Active women↓Full progress
Khawateen ka Kirdar se samjho: Women and national progress.
2. Samina Baig and Arfa Karim

ENGLISH

Samina Baig became the first Pakistani woman to climb Mount Everest and later K2, showing that Pakistani girls can conquer the world's hardest peaks. Arfa Karim became the world's youngest Microsoft Certified Professional as a child, showing that age and gender are no bar to genius.

Both came from ordinary families and reached the extraordinary through study, practice and family support — the lesson's recipe for every student.

Samina Baig: Everest, K2Arfa Karim: youngest MCPOrdinary familiesStudy + practice
Khawateen ka Kirdar se samjho: Two pioneers.
3. Maryam Mukhtar and Dr Ruth Pfau
🏷 Tags: Role of Women in National Progress, Maryam Mukhtar and Dr Ruth Pfau, Class 7 Urdu, Chapter 4

ENGLISH

Maryam Mukhtar became the first woman Shaheed pilot of the Pakistan Air Force: when her jet caught fire, she steered it away from a populated area, saving lives on the ground at the cost of her own.

Dr Ruth Pfau, a German-born doctor, spent around 50 years in Pakistan treating leprosy patients in Karachi, earning the love of a whole nation. Service, the lesson says, has no nationality.

Maryam: Shaheed pilotSaved lives on groundRuth Pfau: 50 yearsLeprosy patients
Khawateen ka Kirdar se samjho: Service and sacrifice.
4. What Holds Women Back?
🏷 Tags: Role of Women in National Progress, What Holds Women Back?, Class 7 Urdu, Chapter 4

ENGLISH

The lesson names the barriers honestly: early dropout from school, the idea that some fields are 'not for girls', unsafe travel, and housework that leaves no time for study. Each barrier has a remedy: scholarships, safe transport, shared housework, and families that cheer daughters as they cheer sons.

Students are asked: what does your own family do to support its daughters' education? What more could it do?

Dropout→Unsafe travel→Shared housework↓Family support
Khawateen ka Kirdar se samjho: Barriers and remedies.
5. Your Part: Respect and Support
🏷 Tags: Role of Women in National Progress, Your Part: Respect and Support, Class 7 Urdu, Chapter 4

ENGLISH

Boys and girls both have a part: boys respect girls' ambitions, share housework, and never mock a girl for studying or playing; girls aim high and help younger girls follow.

The lesson ends with the line: a country's progress is measured not by its tallest building but by how far its daughters can go.

Respect ambitions→Share housework→Aim high↓Help younger girls
Khawateen ka Kirdar se samjho: Everyone's part.

Short Q2: Name two barriers to girls' education and one remedy for each.
