The official pattern uses question types and choices rather than only chapter pairs.

Source, scope & accuracy
For Punjab BISE Annual Examination 2027: PECTAA/C&C Unit/2026/1238, dated 6 November 2026; annex pages 38, 39, 40, 41, 42. The 2027 scheme should be followed with chapter-specific topic/exercise exclusions. Students must not treat an optional long question as permission to skip that chapter's MCQs or short questions.

Can I leave an entire chapter if I skip its long question?
No. The optional long-question choice does not remove short questions or MCQs from retained chapters.
Which chapters are officially deleted?
Only chapters listed in the official PECTAA ALP notification as completely deleted are fully excluded. Open the source PDF for subtopic exclusions.
Are 18/18 marks guaranteed by picking two groups?
No. Choosing the correct two 9-mark questions makes 18 marks available to attempt, but actual marks depend on preparation and exam answers.
